CEO: Rostelecom switches to national servers fully
MOSCOW, Dec 27 (PRIME) -- State-controlled telecom operator Rostelecom has switched to the servers from Russian companies entirely, President Mikhail Oseyevsky told PRIME on Tuesday.
“We have excellent Russian producers – Yadro, Aquarius, and we have fully moved to their products. We buy their (servers) by the thousand,” Oseyevsky said.
Much is yet to be done.
“Software should be adjusted to the architecture of the servers, which is normal. They are used in our data processing centers in state information systems, for our private investors, which means they are high-load powerful servers,” the executive said.
He added that Rostelecom has not acquired server capacities from Germany’s SAP that left the country and does not have plans to buy them from the other firms that had left the country.
